Celebrity blind item revealed of the day

original posting: August 17, 2019

This former A list mostly television actress from multiple hit shows hooked up with a counselor the last time she was in rehab so he would turn the other way when she had drugs brought in.

Heather Locklear

If you're like me, and you haven't been paying particular attention, apparently former 80's hot TV girl Heather Locklear has been a bit of a train wreck for the last 10+ years. In and out of rehab -- some sources are putting the number at close to 25 times, for everything from alcohol to pills to mental health, some of her friends say she doesn't particularly want to be held accountable for much of anything in life.

Just last year, she was arrested for physically attacking a police officer and an EMT for responding to a disturbance call and possible overdose. She spent some time once again in rehab for that too.

Some have suggested that her lack of a current job in television or movies is contributing to her problems, but kind of hard to expect anyone to give a job to someone who's seems like a bomb just waiting to go off.

Seems a shame. Her star looked pretty bright there for a while. Kudos to Richie Sambora for trying to be a steadying influence on Heather even though they divorced years ago.

Here's a few pics of Heather from her heyday:

Fun with Photoshop -- Brooke Burke topless

brooke burke topless

Photographer Brian Bowen Smith recently published some topless pics of model/actress/dancer/general celeb type Brooke Burke that he created for Chanel, I suppose as part of an ad campaign or some such.

And he certainly had some fun with filters and effects and such. Generally, my default position is that when you can't see a model or actress' face along with their bodies, I immediately suspect some shenanigans. But she does appear full face in at least one of the images. So I guess they're legit and the photog was just trying some artistic flair. No complaints from me, I myself, enjoy playing with filters and overlays and such to create interesting photos:

Taylor Swift -- a daughter's love?

taylor swift sexy

A couple of days ago, Taylor Swift reposted a Facebook post from her father Scott to her Tumblr account. I'll get to her Tumblr account in a moment. But Scott Swift's post was a humorous accounting of how he was outwitting his daughter and whoever else he's competing with over fitness steps accumulated. Dad Swift wrapped whatever device he's counting his steps with in a towel and threw it in the dryer. So he wracked up a couple of thousand steps while watching golf with his feet up.

Taylor's response was an innocent daughter's goof on her father about how diabolical he was and so on. Just some fun back and forth between a parent and his child.

Except the problem is Taylor reposted her dad's post to Tumblr as I said. If you don't know what Tumblr is, don't worry, it's a dying out platform that was once worth millions. Now it's home to lesbians and radical feminists and radical feminist lesbians whose profiles usually begin with a laundry list of their psychological abnormalities followed by some radfem manifesto about toxic masculinity, how heterosexual intercourse is always rape and so on.

It's a nuthouse for damaged women working on their cat lady kits.

Well that crew immediately went to papa Swift's Facebook page and were horrified to find out that Taylor's father was conservative Republican. Outrage ensued. And Scott Swift was forced to close his Facebook account to save himself from the relentless online abuse of a bunch of deranged crabby lesbians and feminists.

Oddly silent in all of this is Taylor herself. There's been nothing online about this from her since this broke. Far as I can tell, she's left her old man twisting in the wind. A sacrifice to the woke digital terrorists that make up part of Swifty's fan base.

Where are her calls for unity? Where's all her shake it off posturing now? Where are the pleas from a loving child to protect the parent that brought her into this world and nurtured her until she was able to go out and become a multi-millionaire celebrity/musician?

Taylor Swift is as calculating as Don Corleone. She stayed out of politics, kept her personal life personal and focused on making music and performing and became a superstar. Then came 2016 and THE ELECTION OF OUR LIVES and while media and female celebs screeched on and on about voting their vaginas and not being gender traitors, Taylor kept her mouth shut. Well, that just won't do in this day and age.

So two years of pressure and Taylor caved. She began spouting approved political bromides from the DNC and George Soros. She backed a losing candidate in a Senate race. She's all about open borders and government paid abortion and LGBTQlmnopetc rights and so now. That last bit is pivotal, I think.

Folks have been talking quietly about Taylor being a lesbian for a while now. Her very close relationship with Karlie Kloss and a few other leggy blonde clones have had celeb bloggers and blinds bloggers hinting at her Sapphic preferences. Her current relationship with Joe Alwyn has repeatedly been called out as him being her beard so that she doesn't have to come out fully to her fans and the world.

Which would explain why she still has a Tumblr account. And probably why she may apologize to her dad in private, but she won't do it publicly. Should there ever be any reasonable corroboration of her sexuality made public and she's on the sidelines not cheering on the gay rights agenda, they'll be virtually burning her at the stake, and doing everything they can to ruin her career. Why do you think Cory Booker and his campaign were paying Rosario Dawson to pretend to be romantically involved with him? He can't be running for President as a closeted homosexual, especially with Mayor Pete in the field. He'd be eaten live by mob.

So yeah, that sweet innocent teenager with the curly hair and the guitar, singing her own country songs onstage:

taylor swift teenager

Yeah, she's long gone. Replaced by a hardened businesswoman. Any sacrifice to get to the top I guess. Maybe she's more of a role model than I thought. Just not in the way I had hoped. From one dad to another -- sorry you have to go through this Scott.

Movie Review -- Hotel Artemis

hotel artemis movie review

Let me preface this review with a short discussion. Why do they make movies? To entertain, of course and to make money, obviously but movie making is mostly about telling stories. Excepting flicks that are derived from books or comics, or retellings of actual events or documentaries, movies give a writer a chance to tell a story he/she came up with. And there are basics to story-telling.

Characters are defined, events occur, one or many of the characters travel an arc of some kind -- evolving or devolving to a point different from when the story starts. That's kind of Storytelling 101.

So anyways . . .

It's Los Angeles in 2028. The city is in turmoil over water shortages as the multi-national corporation ClearWater (in one of many too on-the-nose identities in the film) has restricted access to clean water for the general populace. A private contractor Pro Shield has been given authority to put down protests with deadly force if necessary. Against this backdrop we are introduced to two of the movie's characters and why they are headed to the Hotel Artemis.

The Artemis is technically the penthouse floor of an abandoned 12 story building in a run down area of L.A. Styled lush and baroque and old, it's had some upgrades layed over it that provide security and medical tech to turn it into a secure four room hospital for criminals. The set design is pretty well done, though everything is a bit dark and occasionally hard to see. But that's a fairly minor annoyance.

Also giving me pause is the "tech" at the Artemis. As I said, the year is 2028, and I'll go out on a limb here and say that I doubt we'll have nanites doing massive cellular repair, 3D printed organs, and medbots that can clean and dress wounds or remove shrapel/bullets on their own, in just 10 years. I'm not really complaining here, the writers had to pick a date in the near future and they needed the right tech for things to work, so it's a minimal bit of artistic license. Just pointing it out to give you a sense of what's on screen.

Running the "hotel" is Nurse played by Jodie Foster. I'm not sure how old Foster's character is supposed to be here, I'm guessing somewhere between 60 and 70 years old. Probably older as she's sporting old lady white hair and a lot of wrinkles and age spots added to the 56 year old actress by the makeup department. Foster's gone full method in this role, adopting a bizarre shuffling walk reminiscent of a geisha and a clipped staccato line delivery that I suspect is suppose to sound northern big city-ish. Whatever it is, it's beyond annoying. I'm not exaggerating when I say I had to watch this film over six times with the volume cranked way up to get all her dialogue and there's still some stuff I can't make out.

Her orderly, Everest, is played by Dave Bautista (see what I meant about "on-the-nose"). Bautista is riffing on what is becoming a common character for him -- the mildly dense hulking guy. I don't say that as a knock on Bautista. He's got that part down pat, seems comfortable in it and I enjoy watching him play that sort of character.

The two criminals we met in the beginning are Lev, the troublesome younger brother of Sherman (played by Sterling K. Brown), who we learn has spent his whole life pulling Lev out of one self-made bad situation after another. The rooms in the Artemis are all named after various cities around the world and the room names serve as codenames for the patients to insure confidentiality. Thus Lev becomes Honolulu and Sherman becomes Waikiki. The other patients are a coke-snorting douchebag arms dealer Acapulco, played by Charlie Day and a French assassin Nice played by Sofia Boutella. Again, see what I mean by a little too on-the-nose?

So the characters are in place. And . . . what? Stuff happens. People die. There are some interactions between the characters. We learn Nice and Waikiki already know each other and may have had some sort of romantical thing between them that didn't work out. We get to see Boutella doing another of what are becoming her signature fight sequences (aside: how is she not in one of these MARVEL movies? SJW's keep shrieking for a female led spy series, my god, here's your lead. Why can't someone give this woman her own kick-ass movie?! My suggestion -- put her and Hannah John-Kamen in the same flick and watch everyone's sultry meters explode! just sayin'), but all in all, what was the focus of the movie? Was there one? Is there one particular thing we're supposed to take away from watching this movie?

The Artemis is a hospital for criminals. They have something approximating morals -- no pedos, no serial killers, no terrorists . . . but bank robbers, assassins, drug lords and their underlings . . . totally cool. Seems a bit arbitrary to me. We learn that Nurse's teenaged son died of what she believed to be an overdose and that turned her into an alcoholic who lost her medical license. But she was picked up by the drug lord who runs L.A., the Wolf King, who created the Artemis and put Nurse in charge of it.

Are we supposed to care about any of these people? I mean, I liked Boutella's character simply because I like her. Same with Brown, he was much better here than that execrable Predator movie. Point is, I was only rooting in any way for either of them because of the "actors" not the characters they portrayed.

Despite why the Nurse was at the Artemis, she's spent 22+ years healing drug dealers, thieves and murderers. I'm not really moved by what happened with her. Waikiki is a robber who we're pretty sure has killed his fair share of people. Nice is an assassin working world wide. Everest is practically the only "pure" character in the movie.

The movie is like a random snapshot someone took and handed to you. You look at it . . . yeah, it's nice, and . . .?

I'm not hating on this movie, it's just something that struck me after I watched it. I just didn't get the point of it. You should watch it for yourself and see. The cinematography is very good, as is the set design. The performances, with the exception of Foster's annoying method dialogue, are excellent as well. There's some good bits of dialogue, two of which are spoken by Bautista -- one where, when referencing his position as a "health care professional" in a threat to someone, he remarks that he'll "Hunt them down and unheal the sh*t out of them." I got a chuckle out of that.

Like I said, watch it yourself, feel free to come back and let me know how far off base I am here. Wouldn't be the first time . . . heh

Surprisingly, it's fairly difficult to find sexy images of Sofia Boutella online. I'm not sure what's wrong with photographers or magazines these days, I'd be working with her every chance I got. Anywho, here's a few that I found, enjoy:

Weekend schadenfreude

A couple of news bits that caught my attention today:

Convicted traitor and pathetic pretend woman Bradley Manning cut an interview with an Australian radio program short the other day when the host brought up the fact that some of the classified documents that Manning stole and spread to the world online ended up in terrorist Usama bin Laden's possession.

In a stunning example of lack of self awareness, Manning claimed that he couldn't even comment on his feelings about documents in bin Laden's possession because the details of his court martial are highly classified.

?!?!?!

Manning betrayed his country, stole 750,000 documents, many of which were highly classified and disseminated them on the internet via Wikileaks. He didn't give a damn about that. But info about his life that he doesn't want out there? Well, that's completely different.

And yeah, I know, his feelings certainly aren't classified, and he was clearly trying to dodge taking any responsibility for his traitorous actions. But still, you've got to chuckle at this jerk's chutzpah.

And then, of course, we have Serena Williams and her meltdown at the US Open.

I think this was her first major since giving birth some months back, and with the chance to take the wins in Majors title away from Margaret Court, who is now reviled in the tennis community for daring to say that she, as an ordained minister, believes marriage is between a man and a woman, all the media was in Serena's corner as she put her full diva on display for the world.

First we got Serena flouting her will by wearing a bodysuit in direct violation of the events wardrobe directives. When informed that the outfit wasn't approved by the sanctioning body, she retaliated like a child by wearing tutu's on court.

But despite the fact she's clearly off her usual regimen of steroids and human growth hormone, she got to the finals against 20 year old Naomi Osaka from Japan. The young Osaka was thoroughly defeating Williams, who did what she always does in these situations -- she threw one tantrum after another.

A line judge docked her a point in a game she was already losing for receiving coaching from the box. She then lashed out at the judge, who may be Hispanic -- Carl Ramos. When he docked her a full game for her outburst, she called him a theif, demanded he apologize and accused him of racism and sexism, blah, blah, blah.

She continued her petulant whining in the post-match interviews. Her boorish behavior had Osaka in tears and literally apologizing for kicking William's ass on the court. It was disgusting but not of character for a player who has threatened to shove a ball down a judge's throat and grew up cheating in the game. Whether it was her father coaching from the box or her and her sister throwing matches to help the other advance.

People are desperate for Williams to be the G.O.A.T. But until she learns to lose with dignity and grace, she's just a goat.

This

fuck you antifa

These guys at Spike's Tactical stirred up a storm when they posted that image as part of a tweet to announce some sort of sales convention in conjuction with the Pipe Hitters Union which I think is a clothing line.

Naturally they're being accused of supporting white supremacy and being racists and all because they call out the Antifa thugs and because there are four white dudes standing up to a crowd of anarchists.

Me personally, I'm just wondering if it is really such a long shot that things may get to the point where we need an armed militia (2nd Amendment anyone?) to keep law abiding citizens safe from these ever more unruly mobs that are lionized and cheered on by Democrats and the left wing media. That's a scary thought.

I'm also not surprised that lefties started hurling the "race" card right off the bat. Ever since Barack Obama was running for President, that's been the default insult and sledgehammer used by the left to silence anything they don't agree with.

Over at Legal Insurrection the other day, Prof. Jacobsen pointed out, correctly imho, that the only reason scumbag Senator Dick Durbin went public with something said in a closed door meeting was that Dems were finding out that President Trump wasn't going to knuckle under on DACA, and their only hope was to force his hand somehow. Using Trump's salty remark as proof he's a racist and then saying that the only way to prove he isn't is to pass the Dem's version of DACA is such a transparent case of Kafkatrapping that I'm surprised I've only seen the Prof. talking about it.

I like that the guys at Spike aren't backing down about the ad and I'd like to see Republicans on the hill lock their arms and push back against this. I'm not sure it will happen, because there are plenty of open borders advocates like Lindsey Graham who will stab the President in the back to get full on amnesty passed.

Wish I had an answer for all of this.

Because of course he is

Convicted traitor, cross-dressing homosexual and really unattractive pretend woman Bradley Manning has decided to run for Congress in Maryland.

The former Army private was caught after stealing hundreds of thousands of restricted documents and getting them released to the public via Wikileaks. Bradley Manning is a traitor. He was caught and convicted. That alone should remove him from serious consideration for public office. But in this day and age of the so-called resistance even cop killers are lionized by the left. As long as one is anti-Trump, you can be anything -- pedophile, rapist, traitor . . .

As someone pointed out once, you don't ever see Democrats getting caught with ethics violations . . . they don't have any ethics to violate.

Manning's Twitter feed is full of the usual BLM, Antifa nonsense one would expect from a poser like this. He doesn't actually have any answers to fix things, he just rants that it all must be torn down. On Law Enforcement Appreciate Day recently, he tweeted out "F*ck the police!" along with a page full of emoji's which seems to be the level of his communication skills. I'm sure he'd do wonderful in Congress. But that begs the question of what he'd do if he got into Congress. If the system is the problem, and he's now part of it, how does he think he'll change it?

Answer -- *crickets chirping*

I doubt he'll get in though. His likely opponent is the incumbent Ben Cardin, someone with a lifetime "A" rating from progressive groups and a voting record that skews 96% toward progressive policies. He ain' going anywhere.

But little Bradley will put on his lipstick and paint his fingernails, stuff Kleenex into his bra and don his best come hither dress to preen before the gender-queer nation that'll support him. And their sycophants in the media -- Glenn Greenwald is already framing any Democratic hesitancy to anoint Manning as the candidate as transphobic.

Oh brother.

This should be an interesting race to watch the Dems try and find a clean way out of.

Also . . . traitor Bradley Manning's sentence was commuted by outgoing President Obama. Deserter and traitor Bowe Bergdahl was ransomed back and then feted at the White House as a hero by President Obama. And they say Trump damages the presidency with his actions.

And just because I have them, here are some pics of the ladies who weren't invited to the virtue signaling awards the other night. I meant to write about this then, but didn't get around to it. Actual sexual assault victims of Harvey Weinstein not invited to the Golden Globes . . . shame on them.

annabella sciorra not invited to the golden globes
asia argento not invited to the golden globes
daryl hannah not invited to the golden globes
mira sorvino not invited to the golden globes
rose mcgowan not invited to the golden globes

As an aside -- it's really hard to find quality glamour pics of Daryl Hannah. Her Playboy pics are out there, and I thought those a bit inappropriate for an article on sexual harassment, but there really isn't anything available other than some boring red carpet stuff. So odd.
