Hey look, it's Abortion Barbie with a shotgun!

abortion barbie with a shotgun

Showing that she has more skill lying about her personal life than handling a firearm, Wendy Davis appeared at some Dem fundraiser and attempted to not look like a complete fool handling a shotgun.

EPIC FAIL!

Although to be fair, she looks just as competent as our Commander-In-Chief (and double digit bowler), when it comes to holding a shotgun. So I'm sure Dems are high-fiving each other now talking about how "real" Davis is and so on.

*sigh*

Btw, not exactly on the same point, but go here and read this. Not sure who pulled Peggy Noonan's head out of her ass, but it looks like she's finally seeing what the rest of us conservatives have been railing about for the last 5 years.

Immigration reform

The House released a statement of principles on immigration reform that was met with the very predictable derision from right wing bloggers. Chief among their complaints, was why now? I'm inclined to agree with those who believe that the coming mid-term elections have the real possibility of Republicans retaking control of the Senate. And that would very probably come with an increase of Tea Party candidates taking seats in both chambers. Hence the push for an immigration policy written by more moderate members while they have the chance.

I like to think of myself as a Libertarian/Conservative blend. But there are also some things that have to be realized in this particular situation. And one is that we can't simply just round up 12 million people and bus them out of the country! There has to be some mechanism to get these folks identified, and the criminals deported, without going all Gestapo on them.

And despite the hyperbole by even those with whom I usually agree, we cannot punish the children of these law breakers for the sins of their parents. In a recent post by the execrable Allahpundit, the afore mentioned Chamberlainesque RINO candy-ass brought up Mike Huckabee's favorables in pre-election polling. That brought out the usual moronic talk of not voting, yada, yada . . . as well as the usual lies about Huck's record on immigration while governor of Arkansas.

The point about his tuition assistance for illegals is always misrepresented. In fact, Huck's proposal was that children of illegals (the derisively termed DREAMers), if they had matriculated through the Arkansas primary school system, and if they qualified academically for tuition assistance, would be allowed to apply for such assistance. And if granted, those students would have to apply for and pass a citizenship test, thus becoming American citizens before getting tuition assistance.

I just don't see a problem with that. Isn't this what we want? Citizens, legal citizens? Taxpaying, law-abiding citizens? But this is one of the stumbling blocks with those on the right. While I have repeatedly said that I would rather Republicans run on principle and lose than win and be RINO's, I still recognize the reality that politics is about compromise. And this is a point I think we can compromise on without sacrificing principle.

The mission statement out of the House was naturally short on specifics, as all mission statements are, but it is a starting point. I don't see why we cannot reform immigration while still having proper teeth in the bill to prevent illegals from using their children as anchors, why we cannot punish those who willfully and knowingly hire illegals, and do something about border security that doesn't include building a huge fence around the entire country.

Simply hating on these guys for bringing it up is pointless. The House has been passing bills since the Republicans took control. I think it is a good thing to show the American people that only one party is actually trying to follow the Constitution and do their duty. And it isn't the Democrats.

And because she makes me ache (in a good way), here's my girl Slyyy -- all wet and wonderful:

Scarlett Johansson doesn't heart Oxfam anymore

Or maybe it's the other way around, I don't know.

But if you've missed it, Johansson has become the spokesperson for SodaStream, an Israeli company. An Israeli company with offices in the West Bank. Yeah, You know where that's going.

The usual hate groups have been pressuring Johansson through Oxfam to get her to pull out of her association with SodaStream. Funny thing is, Oxfam's all about world poverty and so on, and SodaStream employs Palestinians as well as Israelis, providing good paying jobs and industry to an area that needs it. You'd think Oxfam would be down with that.

But no, like the cowards they are, they've knuckled under to the hate groups and tried to get Johansson to do the same. Happily, she gave them the middle finger and withdrew from Oxfam instead, citing SodaStream's efforts to help everyone in the West Bank.

Johansson's a big Obama supporter, and I can't forget about that, but she gets some kudos for having principles in this case.

scarlett johansson see thru

Update:
As an added attraction, here's the movie poster of Scarlett in character as Black Widow for the new Captain America movie. Notice how they seemlessly photoshopped her face (sans beauty mark and such) onto Courtney Stodden's body. It's really hard to notice, because one thing we know about Scarlett is that she's tall and leggy and narrow hipped with impressive cleavage just like Courtney. I guess one out of four isn't too bad:

Al Gore hearts Margaret Sanger

Or something to that effect . . .

It seems the Goreacle was at a conference in Switzerland recently where he went on about how the best thing we can do for poverty in Africa is start handing out condoms and putting Planned Parenthood abortion clinics in every village.

Echoing a similar comment he made a few years ago, Gore said that "... making fertility management ubiquitously available so [African] women can choose how many children and the spacing of children, is crucial to the future shape of human civilization."

Now if Mitt Romney had suggested something like this, we'd be hearing loud and long about the War on Women, and racism and such. But if the Goreacle wants to get his Eugenics on? I'm sure MSNBC has got his back.

Call me crazy, but isn't the biggest problem in Africa the endless civil wars, rampant disease, the jaw-dropping lack of civil developments and so forth? I could have sworn that I read somewhere that birth rates in pretty much all countries were on the decline.

So claiming that reducing the birth rate in an underdeveloped country is going to have an effect on the Global Climate is ridiculous enough, without dredging up the specter of Sanger's racist claptrap about stopping undesirables from reproducing.

Palate cleanser

And because I need something to get the taste of that SOTU trainwreck last night out of my mouth --

It appears that Watchmen hottie Malin Akerman has a sister named Jennifer. And she's pretty hot herself:

Ahhh . . . much better :-)

Lies, damned lies, and President Obama

I could barely get through last night's State of the Union address. Have they always been this bad? Or is it just this divisive President? I was no fan of Bill Clinton, but I don't remember his SOTU's being so filled with bullsh*t.

Lies, damned lies and statistics. It's amazing that we have a President of the United States standing before Congress and the American people and spitting out easily debunked falsehoods that I would expect from one of those morons at MSNBC:

Can someone name a job, any job, where a woman hired at the same time as a man, for the same job, is making less money? Anyone?

Labor participation is at the lowest rates since the Carter administration (misery index, anyone?). We're not adding jobs at a rate to keep pace with population growth, so what's this guy crowing about?

Obamacare?! Really?! The President didn't even have the juevos to mention his "signature" achievement by name during the speech. Studies show that nearly 90% of all enrollments already had insurance and young people (the lifeblood of funding for this mess) are avoiding the program like it's a Lena Dunham nude scene.

Feel good bill about federal worker pay that will do pretty much nothing? Executive orders on infrastructure that aren't held up because of red tape but simply don't have funding? Newsflash Mr. President, you weren't elected King! There is partisan gridlock in Washington because you have taken the "my way or the highway" approach to governing since your first days in office! Compromise means you don't get all you want either. Your political opponents aren't supposed to be the only ones giving something up at the barganing table!

And propping up a wounded soldier for cheap applause?! Disgraceful! Especially coming from a President, and political party, that has shown such disdain for our military.

Below is the Tea Party response to the SOTU. Listen carefully to when Rep. Mike Lee begins enumerating the bills put forth by he and other Republicans in the House. And remember which party is actually not doing their job in Washington:

And while I'm at it, here's the official Republican response to the SOTU as given by Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers. Over at HotAir, Ed Morrissey is waxing breathless about how McMorris Rodgers is a hidden gem within the GOP and how she's the sort of face conservatives should be putting out in front for the mid-term elections. As described by WaPo's Robert Costa, McMorris Rodgers is:
"It was as if a Republican pollster had somehow created a politician with the exact profile that Republicans are looking to promote [...which includes a son with Down syndrome and a Navy veteran husband...] as they head toward this year’s midterm elections. Here was a pro-life, never offensive Republican woman from a Western state who grew up picking apples on a farm; a youthful, 44-year-old Republican who is known as one of the most savvy social-media users in the House, uploading countless photos to Instagram and videos to Vine."

Gee . . . pulls herself up by the bootstraps mom, handicapped child, down home common sense from the western states, savvy social media user . . . doesn't that sound like a certain former governor whom Ed and other mainstream conservative pundits hate and wish would just go away? Just sayin . . .

A couple of questions here

Is Emily Osment old enough to be posting pics of herself like this:

emily osment bondage

Checks wiki page . . . sighs in relief   Okay, she's almost 22 years old. Still . . . is she in the 50 Shades movie? Or self auditioning for a part ala Sean Young for Catwoman (and we all know how that turned out)? Or just getting her freak on?

Bizarre
