Al Gore hearts Margaret Sanger

Or something to that effect . . .

It seems the Goreacle was at a conference in Switzerland recently where he went on about how the best thing we can do for poverty in Africa is start handing out condoms and putting Planned Parenthood abortion clinics in every village.

Echoing a similar comment he made a few years ago, Gore said that "... making fertility management ubiquitously available so [African] women can choose how many children and the spacing of children, is crucial to the future shape of human civilization."

Now if Mitt Romney had suggested something like this, we'd be hearing loud and long about the War on Women, and racism and such. But if the Goreacle wants to get his Eugenics on? I'm sure MSNBC has got his back.

Call me crazy, but isn't the biggest problem in Africa the endless civil wars, rampant disease, the jaw-dropping lack of civil developments and so forth? I could have sworn that I read somewhere that birth rates in pretty much all countries were on the decline.

So claiming that reducing the birth rate in an underdeveloped country is going to have an effect on the Global Climate is ridiculous enough, without dredging up the specter of Sanger's racist claptrap about stopping undesirables from reproducing.

Palate cleanser

And because I need something to get the taste of that SOTU trainwreck last night out of my mouth --

It appears that Watchmen hottie Malin Akerman has a sister named Jennifer. And she's pretty hot herself:

Ahhh . . . much better :-)

Lies, damned lies, and President Obama

I could barely get through last night's State of the Union address. Have they always been this bad? Or is it just this divisive President? I was no fan of Bill Clinton, but I don't remember his SOTU's being so filled with bullsh*t.

Lies, damned lies and statistics. It's amazing that we have a President of the United States standing before Congress and the American people and spitting out easily debunked falsehoods that I would expect from one of those morons at MSNBC:

Can someone name a job, any job, where a woman hired at the same time as a man, for the same job, is making less money? Anyone?

Labor participation is at the lowest rates since the Carter administration (misery index, anyone?). We're not adding jobs at a rate to keep pace with population growth, so what's this guy crowing about?

Obamacare?! Really?! The President didn't even have the juevos to mention his "signature" achievement by name during the speech. Studies show that nearly 90% of all enrollments already had insurance and young people (the lifeblood of funding for this mess) are avoiding the program like it's a Lena Dunham nude scene.

Feel good bill about federal worker pay that will do pretty much nothing? Executive orders on infrastructure that aren't held up because of red tape but simply don't have funding? Newsflash Mr. President, you weren't elected King! There is partisan gridlock in Washington because you have taken the "my way or the highway" approach to governing since your first days in office! Compromise means you don't get all you want either. Your political opponents aren't supposed to be the only ones giving something up at the barganing table!

And propping up a wounded soldier for cheap applause?! Disgraceful! Especially coming from a President, and political party, that has shown such disdain for our military.

Below is the Tea Party response to the SOTU. Listen carefully to when Rep. Mike Lee begins enumerating the bills put forth by he and other Republicans in the House. And remember which party is actually not doing their job in Washington:

And while I'm at it, here's the official Republican response to the SOTU as given by Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers. Over at HotAir, Ed Morrissey is waxing breathless about how McMorris Rodgers is a hidden gem within the GOP and how she's the sort of face conservatives should be putting out in front for the mid-term elections. As described by WaPo's Robert Costa, McMorris Rodgers is:
"It was as if a Republican pollster had somehow created a politician with the exact profile that Republicans are looking to promote [...which includes a son with Down syndrome and a Navy veteran husband...] as they head toward this year’s midterm elections. Here was a pro-life, never offensive Republican woman from a Western state who grew up picking apples on a farm; a youthful, 44-year-old Republican who is known as one of the most savvy social-media users in the House, uploading countless photos to Instagram and videos to Vine."

Gee . . . pulls herself up by the bootstraps mom, handicapped child, down home common sense from the western states, savvy social media user . . . doesn't that sound like a certain former governor whom Ed and other mainstream conservative pundits hate and wish would just go away? Just sayin . . .

A couple of questions here

Is Emily Osment old enough to be posting pics of herself like this:

emily osment bondage

Checks wiki page . . . sighs in relief   Okay, she's almost 22 years old. Still . . . is she in the 50 Shades movie? Or self auditioning for a part ala Sean Young for Catwoman (and we all know how that turned out)? Or just getting her freak on?

Bizarre

In the battle of big cut-out dresses . . .

. . . I think Joanna Krupa gets the win:

Better hair, nicer curves, more cleavage gonna win it every time. Paris gets an honorable mention, but points off for that unflattering hairdo:

Those are the sorts of outfits where you can't be in a hurry to get anywhere because walking with any sort of pace is gonna cause a commotion if you know what I mean.

Daily Duffster

Newly separated Hilary Duff (still sad about that) was out looking her exquisitely adorable self last week:

So my 'puter's been down

I've got an old Dell Dimension 4550 that I use as my desktop. It's a bit slow by today's standards, but it runs XP, which I (along with millions of businesses) prefer, and I'm hesitant to upgrade. Well it's getting a bit cranky these days and doesn't like to reboot anymore. So when Windows sends one of it's midnight updates, I wake up to a non-running computer. This last time, she simply wouldn't start up, no matter what I did. I was ready to call the geek guys when I finally got her going last night.

I've got a 2TB stand alone harddrive that I've been moving stuff to, but the move isn't complete by a long shot. And there's some software with pre-populated usercodes and such that I haven't moved yet, so I've been a bit out of it for a week or so. Did I miss much? Let's see:

With no more elections to worry about, our President is doubling down on his divisive racist rhetoric. He did an interview (thought I saved the paper, but I guess not) where he said that if you're a conservative who believes in fiscally responsible government, a return to the constitutional republic that the founders envisioned, and so on, well, you're just a closet racist who longs for the days pre-civil rights era and you should just admit it.

I can imagine that sort of racist dreck from an MSNBC host, but a sitting President -- eesh!

There's a lawsuit in Florida now to overturn the state's ban on same sex marriages. According to writers at the Tampa Bay Times, we need to think of the children of these marriages and overturn the law for them.

?!?!

Less than 4% of the population identifies itself as LGBT. Exactly how many children of these couples are there? That referendum was overwhelmingly passed in this state. So we're talking about overturning a law to appease less than 4% of the state's population that has chosen an alternative lifestyle? I don't have a problem with civil unions. It always amazes me that when all the talk about this stuff winds down, it always comes to money. Same sex couples want tax breaks and access to retirements and entitlements, never much talk about church weddings and such. Though they always seem to want to break it off in organized religion.

Here's my thing -- homosexuality is a choice, plain and simple. Despite the millions wasted on desperate research (that could have better been used to feed the hungry, help aids patients, etc.) to find a genetic cause, there is none. And whether you believe in God, or Darwin, or some permutation on Intelligent Design, we were designed to be heterosexual. We need to be heterosexual for the propagation of our species. If you, as an adult, chose an alternative lifestyle, bully for you. But forcing laws upon the 96+% of the world that isn't in your lifestyle simply to salve your delicate egos is the definition of tyranny of the minority.

In less trying areas:

Despite not having won a tournament in 4 years, Anastasia Ashley is the world's most famous surfer because she keeps Instagrammin' that ass and doing celeb send ups:

Miley got topless again, this time with bodypaint and sparkles. Girl better start churning out more music, this shtick will run its course pretty quickly:

Taylor Momsen's new album cover is out. Yep, she's naked too. This sort of thing was more shocking back in the 70s when Roxy Music was doing it, but I still prefer her music to Miley's:

And Taylor Swift went shopping, ass still not included, though it seems someone told her about padded bras 'cause:

Now back to my back-upping . . .
