Yesterday's 24-21 victory over the Lions was the Buccaneer's third straight win putting the team at 3-8 for the season.
It's important to remember that these guys lost four games in the final minute during their awful stretch to start the season. They could easily be 7-4 right now. Local sportswriters such as Tom Jones and Gary Shelton of the Tampa Bay Times have savaged their home team, going as far as mocking the looks of quarterback Mike Glennon. Pathetic. I wonder if they would engage in that type of shameless, shoddy journalism if Glennon was a minority?
Coach Schiano has done a remarkable job holding the team together through quite a bit of adversity -- from MRSA to Josh Freeman to injuries, and now the team seems to be getting some breaks their way.
I doubt they'll run the table from here on out, but wouldn't it be funny to see them finish the season at 8-8?
