Local ordinances force homes to be built ...Thanks.<br /><br />Local ordinances force homes to be built on stilts/pilings out here. The older ones, in many places, are built far enough back off the street as to save them from only the deepest of floods. Though in this case, water was only a couple of feet from their front/garage doors.
